The Blue River (David City, NE) softball routed the visiting Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE), 11-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aquinas for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 21. Blue River will meet a Monarchs squad coming off a 10-8 league loss to Pierce (Pierce, NE). The Monarchs record now stands at 9-11.
The Slammers (11-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Centennial (Utica, NE). The Broncos go into the C District challenge with a 3-18 record. In their last challenge, Centennial was routed by Wayne (Wayne, NE), 12-6, in a non-league challenge.
