In Saturday's non-league match, the host Lafayette Lancers softball team scored a tight 2-1 win over the Lindbergh Flyers.

The Lancers (15-4) will now prepare for their match against St. Francis Borgia (Washington, MO). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, St. Francis Borgia nipped Lutheran South (St. Louis, MO), 6-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Flyers battle the Northwest Lions (Cedar Hill, MO) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 23. Lindbergh will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 19-6 record after their 9-8 non-league loss to Marquette (Chesterfield, MO).
