In Saturday's non-league match, the host Lafayette Lancers softball team scored a tight 7-0 win over the Rockwood Summit Falcons.

The Lancers (15-4) will now prepare for their match against St. Francis Borgia (Washington, MO). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, St. Francis Borgia nipped Lutheran South (St. Louis, MO), 6-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Marquette Mustangs (Chesterfield, MO) in a Class 4 District 3 match, on Tuesday, September 24. Rockwood Summit will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 7-10 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Northwest (Cedar Hill, MO).
