Illinois High School Volleyball - Massac County can't get by Centralia

September 21, 2024: Centralia, IL 62801

The Centralia Orphans edged the visiting Massac County Patriots volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Orphans confront the Cahokia Comanches (Cahokia, IL) in a South Seven game, on Tuesday, September 24. Centralia will attempt to advance on its 10-8 season record. The Comanches go into the game with a 0-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL).

The Patriots (15-6) will now prepare for their game against Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Tigers go into the Southern Illinois River-to-River Ohio game with a 8-8 record. In their last game, Herrin nudged Vienna (Vienna, IL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
