In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Muscatine Muskies volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Kennedy Cougars.

The Muskies (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Danville (Danville, IA). The Bears come into the challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Danville was nudged by Notre Dame (Burlington, IA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Davenport North Wildcats (Davenport, IA) in a challenge, on Saturday, September 21. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA).
