In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Rich Township Raptors volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Richards Bulldogs.

The Raptors (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Blazing Trojan come into the Southland challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Bloom lost by Crete-Monee (Crete, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Richards will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Meteors come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 2-0 league loss to Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL).
