The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons volleyball team (Mooresboro, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Wednesday's league challenge with the host Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC)

The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen enter the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, Cherryville defeated Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Gryphons meet the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, September 27. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Golden Lions enter the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC).
