The Father Capodanno Grunts football team (Vass, NC), was ripped 48-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Hobgood Charter Raiders (Hobgood, NC)

The Raiders (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Bear Grass Charter was ripped by North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 49-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Grunts now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Community Christian for a 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) challenge on Saturday, October 8. Father Capodanno will meet a Cyclones team coming off a 64-0 league loss to Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Cyclones record now stands at 0-5.
