Vance Charter Knights (Henderson, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Roxboro Community Bulldogs (Roxboro, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Knights face the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions (Durham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 27. Vance Charter will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record.

The Bulldogs now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oxford Prep for a Triangle North 1A challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Roxboro Community will face a Griffins team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Voyager (Durham, NC). The Griffins record now stands at 2-9.
