Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Heritage Patriots (Conyers, GA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 13-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winder-Barrow for a 5A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 27.

With the loss, Heritage falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Eastside (Covington, GA) to battle the Eagles in a 5A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-8. Eastside lost 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Monroe Area (Monroe, GA)
