Georgia High School Softball - Pickens gets by Lumpkin County

The Pickens Dragons got by the visiting Lumpkin County Indians softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Thursday's league battle.

The Dragons (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Gilmer (Ellijay, GA). The Bobcats go into the 3A Region 7 battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Gilmer nudged West Hall (Oakwood, GA), 5-1, in a league battle.

The Indians now sport a 5-13 record. They play next when they travel to Dawson County for a 3A Region 7 battle on Tuesday, September 27. Lumpkin County will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Rabun County (Tiger, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-16.
