The Pierce County Bears softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs to 5 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Pierce County moves its record to 10-8 on the year. The Bears travel to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA) to clash with the Indians in a non-league game on Monday, September 26. The Indians come into the game with a record of 11-5. Irwin County lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Bacon County (Alma, GA)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA) in a 2A Region 3 game, on Tuesday, September 27. Toombs County will attempt to move on its 9-11 season record.
