The Bears go into the contest with a 15-7 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA).

With the loss, Savannah Classical Academy moves to 1-10 on the year. The Spartans travel to Savannah (Savannah, GA) to battle the Bluejackets in a 1A Area 3 contest on Tuesday, October 4. The Bluejackets go into the contest with a record of 10-5.
