Rhode Island High School Football - Johnston trounces Ponaganset

September 22, 2023: Johnston, RI 02919

In Friday's league match, the host Johnston Panthers football squad scored a big 43-6 victory over the Ponaganset Chieftains.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division III-B match, on Saturday, September 30. Johnston will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Quakers enter the match with a 3-0 record after their 35-16 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI).

The Chieftains (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Patriots enter the Division III-B match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Pilgrim was crushed by West Warwick (West Warwick, RI), 13-12, in a league match.
