The crowd at Friday's league contest between the North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV) and the host Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), observed North Marion's football squad thwart Lincoln by a tally of 35-17.

The Huskies now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Fairmont Senior for a Big Ten contest on Friday, September 29. North Marion will play a Polar Bears squad coming off a 27-23 non-league win over University (Morgantown, WV). The Polar Bears record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Friday, September 29. Lincoln will attempt to advance on its 4-1 season record. The Minutemen go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 34-0 non-league loss to Roane County (Spencer, WV).
