Kearney Bulldogs (Kearney, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Liberty North Eagles (Liberty, MO), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Osage for a Class 4 District 15 challenge on Saturday, September 23.

With the loss, Liberty North falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Staley (Kansas City, MO) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 25. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 12-10. Staley lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Blue Springs (Blue Springs, MO)
