The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) and the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), saw Beacon's volleyball squad beat Newburgh Free Academy by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Beacon upgrades its record to 6-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Goshen Central (Goshen, NY) to play the Gladiators in a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 27. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 4-1.

The Goldbacks now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Middletown for a Section 9 Orange County I bout on Wednesday, September 27. Newburgh Free Academy will play a Middie Bears squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Middie Bears record now stands at 0-8.
