In Monday's non-league outing, the host Laurel Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the High Point Eagles.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD). The Clippers go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Oxon Hill was tipped by Bowie (Bowie, MD), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laurel for a non-league test on Monday, October 20. High Point will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD). The Spartans record now stands at 1-2.
