Fans at Monday's league battle between the Orange Panthers (Hillsborough, NC) and the host Carrboro Jaguars (Carrboro, NC), saw Orange's soccer squad hold off Carrboro by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Vikings enter the Big Seven 4A/5A battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, South Granville was edged by J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Jaguars confront the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs (Durham, NC) in a Big Seven 4A/5A battle, on Wednesday, September 24. Carrboro will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 2-8 record after their 3-1 league win over Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC).
