The Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) soccer overwhelmed the host Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC), 7-2 in Monday's league challenge.
The Comets now hold a 8-2 record. They play next when they host South Garner for a Greater Neuse River 7A contest on Wednesday, September 24. Clayton will battle a Titans team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Sanderson (Raleigh, NC). The Titans record now stands at 3-8.
The Bulldogs (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Spartans enter the Greater Neuse River 7A contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Smithfield-Selma was overwhelmed by Garner (Garner, NC), 7-1, in a league challenge.
