The Asher Indians softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Wetumka Chieftains to 0 in the Indians non-league win on Monday.

The Indians now sport a 19-7 record.

With the defeat, Wetumka drops to 16-8 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to Porter (Porter, OK) to meet the Pirates in a Class A test on Tuesday, September 23. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 5-18. Porter won 8-5 in their recent non-league test against Hulbert (Hulbert, OK)
