Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Charlton County Indians (Folkston, GA), 10-0 in a non-league match.

The Herons (11-8) will now prepare for their match against Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Rams come into the 1A D-I Region 1 match with a 9-13 record. In their last match, Worth County was routed by Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA), 6-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Indians confront the Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Charlton County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 10-2 league loss to Clinch County (Homerville, GA).
