Kentucky High School Volleyball - Anderson County tips Paintsville

September 22, 2025: Paintsville, KY 41240

The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) and the host Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY), saw Anderson County's volleyball squad nudge Paintsville by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Anderson County improves its record to 13-12 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Halls (Knoxville, TN) to encounter the Red Devils in a AAA District 3 battle on Tuesday, September 23. The Red Devils go into the battle with a record of 5-13.

The Tigers now own a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson Central for a District 57 battle on Monday, September 22. Paintsville will encounter a Golden Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 10-8.
