The Southbridge Pioneers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs to 1 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Pioneers now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Advanced Math & Science Academy for a Central Mass outing on Wednesday, September 24. Southbridge will play a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Notre Dame Academy (Worcester, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Assabet Valley RVT moves to 1-6 on the season. The Aztecs host Fitchburg (Fitchburg, MA) to confront the Red Raiders in a non-league game on Wednesday, September 24. The Red Raiders go into the game with a record of 0-7. Fitchburg lost 3-2 in their recent non-league game against South Lancaster Academy (South Lancaster, MA)
