With the win, Sumrall improves its record to 21-5 on the season. The Bobcats travel to West Marion (Foxworth, MS) to face the Trojans in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 15-8. West Marion won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Salem (Tylertown, MS)

The Panthers now own a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Laurel for a Class 5A Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 23. Brookhaven will face a Golden Tornadoes team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 5-9.
