Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY) and the visiting Community Christian Warriors (Paducah, KY), observed Mayfield's volleyball team top Community Christian by a count of 3-0.

The Cardinals (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against Marshall County (Benton, KY). The Marshals go into the non-league battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Marshall County dropped by Logan County (Russellville, KY), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Warriors now own a 4-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCracken County for a District 2 battle on Tuesday, September 23. Community Christian will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-4.
