With the win, Giles improves its record to 10-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to encounter the Maroons in a Mountain Empire battle on Thursday, September 25. The Maroons go into the battle with a record of 1-9. George Wythe lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA)

Next, the Mustangs meet the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a Pioneer contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Chargers enter the contest with a 10-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Stonewall Jackson (Quicksburg, VA).
