Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Freedom Christian Academy Patriots (Fayetteville, NC), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Patriots come into the NCISAA Coastal Plain Independent challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, Arendell Parrott Academy gained a win over Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Trinity Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Freedom Christian Academy will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to The O'Neal School (Southern Pines, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-9.
