In Monday's league challenge, the host Lake Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Pelahatchie Chiefs.
The Hornets (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Puckett (Puckett, MS). The Wolves come into the Class 2A Region 5 challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Puckett lost by Florence (Florence, MS), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
The Chiefs now sport a 0-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Richland for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Pelahatchie will face a Rangers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Forest (Forest, MS). The Rangers record now stands at 1-10.
