Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS) and the visiting Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS), observed South Jones's volleyball team top Stringer by a count of 3-1.

The Braves (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against North Pike (Summit, MS). The Jaguars go into the Class 5A Region 3 battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, North Pike achieved victory over Natchez (Natchez, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Red Devils now own a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richton for a Class 1A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, September 23. Stringer will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mize (Mize, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 5-8.
