The Montour Spartans thwarted the host Ambridge Bridgers football team by a count of 21-3 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Montour upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Spartans host New Castle (New Castle, PA) to encounter the Hurricanes in a WPIAL AAAA Parkway outing on Friday, September 30. The Hurricanes go into the outing with a record of 1-4. New Castle lost 54-0 in their recent league outing against Central Valley (Monaca, PA)
With the loss, Ambridge moves to 1-4 on the season. The Bridgers travel to Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA) to encounter the Quips in a WPIAL AAAA Parkway outing on Friday, September 30. The Quips go into the outing with a record of 4-0. Aliquippa won 19-16 in their recent league outing against West Allegheny (Imperial, PA)
