In Friday's non-league game, the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) football team knocked off the host Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD), by a final score of 32-6.
The Titans (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Wagner (Wagner, SD). The Red Raiders come into the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Wagner was dropped by Menno/Scotland (Menno, SD), 19-0, in a league game.
The Mustangs now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Central for a Dakota 12 game on Friday, September 30. Tri-Valley will battle a Trojans team coming off a 34-12 league win over Canton (Canton, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 5-0.
