The crowd at Friday's league bout between the The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) and the host St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), saw The Academy of the Holy Cross's volleyball squad beat St. John's by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, The Academy of the Holy Cross upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Tartans host St. Paul VI (Chantilly, VA) to play the Panthers in a bout on Friday, October 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Cadets now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Atholton for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 27. St. John's will play a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Glenelg (Glenelg, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.
