Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Hickory Christian Academy Knights (Hickory, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions face the Davidson Day Patriots (Davidson, NC) in a Foothills Athletic challenge, on Tuesday, September 27. Statesville Christian will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Westchester Country Day (High Point, NC).

The Knights now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to University Christian for a Foothills Athletic challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Hickory Christian Academy will face a Barracudas team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Woodlawn (Davidson, NC). The Barracudas record now stands at 1-8.
