The Panthers now own a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meeker for a 3A Western Slope challenge on Saturday, September 24. Montezuma-Cortez will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO). The Cowboys record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Gunnison falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Sierra (Colorado Springs, CO) to battle the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 24. The Stallions enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Sierra won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Mitchell (Colorado Springs, CO)
