Texas High School Volleyball - Lone Star over Newman Smith

The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) and the host Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), saw Lone Star's volleyball squad beat Newman Smith by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Lone Star upgrades its record to 17-8 on the year. The Rangers travel to The Colony (The Colony, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, September 27. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 15-6.

The Trojans now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Turner for a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, September 27. Newman Smith will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Reedy (Frisco, TX). The Lions record now stands at 1-12.
