The William Floyd Colonials held off the visiting Riverhead Blue Waves volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's league test.
The Colonials now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pierson/Bridgehampton for a non-league test on Saturday, September 24. William Floyd will confront a Whalers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Ross (East Hampton, NY). The Whalers record now stands at 0-4.
The Blue Waves (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Longwood (Middle Island, NY). The Lions enter the Section 11 AA-1 test with a 5-0 record.
