The Valley Christian Defenders topped the visiting Whitney Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league test.

The Defenders now have a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host South for a non-league test on Friday, September 23. Valley Christian will confront a Spartans team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Torrance (Torrance, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-10.

The Wildcats (0-11) will now prepare for their test against Bellflower (Bellflower, CA). The Buccaneers enter the non-league test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Bellflower gained a win over St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA), 2-1, in a non-league test.
