The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons (Punta Gorda, FL) volleyball nudged the visiting Lemon Bay Manta Rays (Englewood, FL), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, Charlotte betters its record to 4-0 on the year. The Fightin' Tarpons host Lely (Naples, FL) to face the Trojans in a non-league outing on Monday, October 2. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 1-2.
The Manta Rays now sport a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Riverview Sarasota for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 23. Lemon Bay will face a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Braden River (Bradenton, FL). The Rams record now stands at 8-1.
