The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) and the visiting Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA), saw Northgate's volleyball squad nip Newnan by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Northgate upgrades its record to 8-9 on the year. The Vikings host Columbus (Columbus, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 28. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 19-8. Columbus won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Northside (Columbus, GA)

The Cougars now own a 19-7 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander for a bout on Tuesday, September 26.
