Nebraska High School Softball - Polk County bounces Cozad

September 23, 2023: Cozad, NE 69130

The Polk County Slammers routed the host Cozad Haymakers softball squad by a count of 6-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Slammers (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE). The Bluehawks go into the non-league battle with a 16-5 record. In their last battle, St. Cecilia was routed by St. Paul (St. Paul, NE), 5-3, in a league battle.

The Haymakers now sport a 15-9 record. They play next when they travel to Ord for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 23. Cozad will meet a Chanticleers squad coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Boone Central/Newman Grove (Albion, NE). The Chanticleers record now stands at 6-13.
