Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Dade County Wolverines (Trenton, GA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Catamounts now own a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Cass for a 5A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, September 26. Dalton will battle a Colonels squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Calhoun (Calhoun, GA). The Colonels record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Dade County falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, GA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 25. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe lost 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Ridgeland (Rossville, GA)
