The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA) and the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), saw Dutchtown's volleyball squad beat Byrd by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Dutchtown upgrades its record to 14-4 on the year. The Griffins host Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA) to play the Chipmunks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 26. The Chipmunks go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Archbishop Chapelle lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against St. Scholastica (Covington, LA)

The Yellow Jackets now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Airline for a Division I District 1 bout on Tuesday, September 26. Byrd will play a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Crowley, LA). The Vikings record now stands at 12-8.
