The Pierz Pioneers held off the visiting Mora Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's league test.

The Pioneers now have a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holdingford for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 26. Pierz will confront a Huskers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Floodwood (Floodwood, MN). The Huskers record now stands at 7-7.

The Mustangs (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Pequot Lakes was nudged by Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, MN), 2-1, in a non-league test.
