The Hoover Cardinals edged the visiting Point Loma Pointers flag football team by a score of 26-24 in Monday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Mira Mesa Marauders (San Diego, CA) in a challenge, on Monday, September 30. Hoover will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Marauders enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 41-0 non-league loss to Classical Academy (Escondido, CA).

The Pointers (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against University City (San Diego, CA). The Centurions enter the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, University City was edged by Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA), 32-4, in a league challenge.
