Fans at Monday's league battle between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), saw Swain County's soccer squad triumph over Cherokee by a score of 6-0.

The Maroon Devils (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Highlanders enter the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Highlands tipped Tri-County (Murphy, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Braves confront the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A battle, on Wednesday, September 25. Cherokee will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Invest Collegiate Imagine (Asheville, NC).
