Fans at Monday's league battle between the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) and the host Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), saw Surry Central's soccer squad hold off Forbush by a count of 3-2.

The Golden Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Vikings go into the Foothills 2A challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, North Wilkes was nudged by Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Forbush moves to 8-2 on the year. The Falcons travel to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to encounter the Cardinals in a Foothills 2A challenge on Wednesday, September 25. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a record of 3-5. East Surry lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)
