Southwestern Spartans (Shelbyville, IN) backers exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Trinity Lutheran Cougars (Seymour, IN), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Southwestern advances its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host Central Christian Academy (Indianapolis, IN) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Friday, September 27. The Chargers come into the match with a record of 0-5.

The Cougars now sport a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brown County for a non-league match on Thursday, September 26. Trinity Lutheran will meet a Eagles team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Greencastle (Greencastle, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 0-10.
