In Monday's non-league challenge, the host McLean County Cougars volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Butler County Bears.

The Cougars (4-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Ohio County (Hartford, KY). The Eagles come into the District 10 challenge with a 12-9 record.

Next, the Bears meet the Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) in a District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Butler County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Larue County (Hodgenville, KY).
