The Surry County Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Charles City Panthers to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now have a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Brunswick for a Tri-Rivers outing on Tuesday, September 24. Surry County will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Windsor (Windsor, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Charles City drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Middlesex (Saluda, VA) to play the Chargers in a Tidewater outing on Tuesday, September 24. The Chargers come into the outing with a record of 10-1. Middlesex won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Mathews (Mathews, VA)
